Craig's collaboration with Songwriter Hall of Fame nominee Bob Feldman on his book "Simply Put! Community & Theater

Craig is a member of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Society For The Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America and served as tenor for two years honing his acapella skills under the direction of Chuck Griffith alongside his magnificent 120-man group who performed with the Jacksonville Symphony and Disney World's annual televised Easter Day Parade. He also appeared as Kanute Gunderson in Fourth Dimension Sobe Theatre Co.'s production of "Don't Hug Me."

 

Strang's dedication to local community theater extends beyond the stage. His leadership in spearheading marketing and fundraising concerts for the Broward Stage Door Theatre showcases his commitment to sustaining and growing the theater community. By leveraging his expertise in these areas, he shared a small part in the enrichment of cultural life in the local community.

Singer-Songwriter and Producer:

Craig Strang's talent as a singer-songwriter is showcased in his venerable self-titled debut CD 'Serendipity', composed, written, and produced by Strang at Miami's legendary Hot Productions. His producer skills have allowed him to contribute significantly to the theater scene. His work on musicals, such as the off-Broadway production "Tusk" with producer Norman Rea, featuring the evocative "Train To Nowhere" co-written with Rea and Ben Bagby, showcases his ability to craft memorable and emotionally resonant songs that enhance the storytelling in the theater.

Lead and Principal

For the greater part of a decade, Strang was a lead singer in touring revue shows for Kevin Black Productions. Roles include Lead as Tony and Swing as Bernardo in "West Side Story," Corny Collins in "Hairspray", Lead singer in "Dirty Dancing, "Principal in "I Am Music - the songs of Barry Manilow," Lead Singer in "Dance Explosion", Lead Singer in "Dance Your Pants Off!," Lead Singer on "Hot Latin Rhythms", Lead Singer in "Ballroom, South Beach Style." Craig also appeared as the Lead Singer in "Broadway Babes" produced by Advanced Entertainment and Productions.

Craig was a featured act in Neil Goldberg's "We, the Passion and the Rhythm of the People."  a highly-anticipated “Show of the Century” and the pinnacle of the Duende weekend culminating Broward County, Florida's yearlong centennial celebration. Strang is also the voice of "Pomp" in Goldberg's acclaimed "Pomp, Snow & Cirqueumstance, the Musical."

 

Craig's voiceovers and video production prowess can be found in web, television, and radio commercials as well as automated attendants in telephone systems throughout South Florida. Strang's variety of lead roles underscores his versatility as a performer and showcases his vocal and stage presence.

 

Producer and Manager

Strang co-produced his music video for the deep-house mix of his autobiographical single "When The Morning Shines," with BensMediaWorks. As co-writer, he directed and produced the music video for David Salih's "Praise Me" 2001 pop dance single. Craig served as the Production Tour Manager for Kevin Black's Production of "Drag Follies," and Production Assistant for Kevin's production of "Cabaret." He acted as Production Tour Manager for Advanced Entertainment and Productions' "Broadway Babes." and was the Central Florida Regional Tour Show Manager for Mac Frampton's 12-piece ensemble production of "Gifts Of Grace."
